Our Story
A Family Business Built on Hard Work
Castro’s Hardscape & Masonry was founded in Prescott Valley, AZ as a family-run business led by Jose Castro, built on hands-on experience and pride in quality workmanship. From the beginning, the company took a direct, personal approach to every project—working on-site, managing details, and ensuring each job was done right.
The company was created to solve a common problem homeowners faced: unreliable contractors, unclear pricing, and outdoor work that failed to hold up in Arizona’s harsh conditions. Because of that, Castro’s Hardscape & Masonry was built around honesty, clear communication, and craftsmanship designed to last.
Since 2017, the company has grown through referrals, repeat customers, and consistent five-star reviews. Becoming a licensed contractor (ROC #346846) marked an important milestone and reinforced a commitment to professionalism. Today, Castro’s Hardscape & Masonry proudly serves homeowners throughout Yavapai County while staying true to the same family values that started it all.

What Homeowners Are Saying About Us
We were referred to Jose when we wanted to completely replace and expand the smelly 10-year old turf in the home we recently moved into. Fabulous work! Took 2 days from start to finish. Our pups are thrilled with more play space and it makes our yard look larger than it is. Highly recommend for not only the workmanship, but their competitive pricing! ❤️
We are beyond pleased in every way--- with the paver work that Jose and his crew did for us. The quality of their work is top notch! They are very friendly and respectful and they did such a great job of cleaning up when they were done. If I could give Jose Castro and his crew 10 stars I would! Thank You Jose!!!!!
Castros hardscape and masonry has been a great company to work with.My husband and I were very pleased with the work that Jose and his crew did. They did an outstanding job that exceeded our expectations which included installing pavers on the driveway and sidewalk, constructing a firepit, planting trees and shrubs, and installing an irrigation system. They were great to work with and were priced right.
I am very pleased with the beautiful landscaping and design services Castro’s Hardscape and Mansonry completed at my home. Jose and his crew were very professional and friendly, the pricing was competitive and the quality of work was excellent. I highly recommend them and will use them again in the future.
